The Northville girls track and field team launched their 2015 season indoors Saturday with a fourth-place finish in the Eastern Michigan University Huron Relays held at Bowen Fieldhouse.

Oak Park scored 72 points to capture the team title with Ann Arbor Pioneer (64), Saline (36.5), Northville (36) and White Lake Lakeland (25) rounding out the top five in the 23-school field.

Earning individual second-place finishes for the Mustangs included Gracie Goble in the high jump (16 feet, 7.5 inches) and Lauren Rodriguez in the 60-meter hurdles (9.15).

Northville's 4 x 400 relay team of Goble, Mary Catherine McLaughlin, Chloe Abbott and Lindsay Walters also placed second in 4:01.4.

Cayla Eckenroth finished fifth in the 1,600 run (5:19.4), while teammate Emma Herrmann added a seventh (5:35.28).

Northville's 4 x 800 relay team of Herrman, Hailey Harris, Ana Barrott and Taylor Gattoni placed fifth (10:27.1).

On the boys side, Westland John Glenn scored 47 points to capture the team crown ahead of Oak Park (44) and Belleville (33).

Northville tied for 17th with 10 points paced by Sean McCullough's fourth-place finish in the 1,600 run (4:40.68). The Mustangs' distance medley relay team added a seventh (11:27.91), while high jumpers Andrew Hopkins and John Hamilton placed seventh and eighth, respectively, at 5-9 each.

Novi Detroit Catholic Central, getting a third from Lance Yassay in the high jump (6-3), was 20th in the 26-team field with eight points.

The Shamrocks also got eighths from Donovan D'Amore in the 60 hurdles (8.99) and Mike Misiak in the shot put (45-4).
